Moving is one of the most stressful things that you can do! Not only do you have to pack your boxes, clean your house, move all of your stuff, and unpack, you also have to live in an unorganized mess until you get it all done! Living in that kind of situation can make a stressful move even worse. That is why our home cleaning pros in Plano have come up with this list of tips to help you to stay organized during your move:

  • Give yourself plenty of time- Start packing the things that aren’t in season or that you don’t use often well in advance. Store them in your garage or guest room. This will help you to save a lot of time during the craziness!
  • Let go of the clutter- There is no better time to make a Goodwill run than when you are moving. Moving your clutter will only cause your move to take longer and be more expensive. A good rule of thumb is: if you haven't used/worn it in over a year, you probably don’t need it.
  • Use your ABC’s- You don’t have to unpack everything at the same time! Mark your boxes that are your first priority with an A, your second priority with a B, and your third priority with a C. That way, you know which boxes contain things you need right away.
